To his dismay, his maternal grandfather has died but no one in the family, including his mother (Crystal LEE), is willing to talk about it or their feelings. His elder sister Yam (Isabelle CHAN), locks herself every day in her room and smokes. His father (James AU) is always busy on the phone to take bets from sports gamblers. The family of four will soon move to a new place, but a shadow of estrangement looms above them. Getting drenched in sweat, sometimes by rain, Cheng discovers a melancholy reality, both old and new, in a city he calls home.<\/p>\n

The Little Shrimp<\/em> is Chilam\u2019s debut feature, completed as a requirement for his MFA degree earned at Emerson College. \u201cLittle Shrimp\u201d (haa-zai<\/em>), as he explained, is a name for the nameless whose identities are defined by their family and social roles.<\/p>\n

\u7559\u5b66\u6ce2\u58eb\u987f\u7684\u4f55\u4f1f\u57ce\uff08\u8521\u6d69\u6d0b<\/span>\uff09\uff0c\u5728\u5927\u5b66\u6700\u540e\u4e00\u5e74\u7684\u6691\u5047\u8fd4\u56de\u95f7\u70ed\u6f6e\u6e7f\u7684\u5e7f\u5dde\u3002\u8ba9\u4ed6\u60ca\u8be7\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u5916\u516c\u8fc7\u4e16\u4e00\u4e8b\uff0c\u5bb6\u4e2d\u7adf\u65e0\u4e00\u4eba\u613f\u610f\u8bb2\u8d77\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u8c08\u8bba\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u611f\u53d7\uff0c\u751a\u81f3\u8fde\u6bcd\u4eb2\uff08\u674e\u4f69\u8d1e\uff09\u4e5f\u95ed\u53e3\u4e0d\u63d0\u3002\u800c\u4ed6\u7684\u59d0\u59d0\u4f55\u6dd1\u7136\uff08\u9648\u6d77\u5b81\uff09\uff0c\u65e5\u65e5\u628a\u81ea\u5df1\u5173\u5728\u623f\u95f4\u62bd\u70df\u3002\u4ed6\u7684\u7236\u4eb2\uff08\u533a\u7ecd\u7199<\/span>\uff09\u5219\u6574\u65e5\u5fd9\u4e8e\u5e2e\u8d4c\u7403\u7684\u4eba\u7535\u8bdd\u4e0b\u6ce8\u3002\u8fd9\u4e2a\u56db\u53e3\u4e4b\u5bb6\u9a6c\u4e0a\u5c31\u8981\u642c\u8fc1\u5230\u65b0\u5c4b\uff0c\u7136\u800c\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u5c4b\u6a90\u4f3c\u6709\u758f\u79bb\u4e4b\u5f71\u7b3c\u7f69\u3002\u5e38\u5e38\u6c57\u6d41\u6d43\u80cc\uff0c\u6709\u65f6\u5728\u96e8\u4e2d\u6e7f\u900f\uff0c\u4f55\u4f1f\u57ce\u5728\u8fd9\u4e2a\u88ab\u4ed6\u89c6\u4e3a\u5bb6\u7684\u57ce\u5e02\u91cc\u89e6\u78b0\u7740\u5fe7\u6c89\u7684\u73b0\u5b9e\uff0c\u5982\u65b0\uff0c\u4f3c\u65e7\u3002<\/p>\n

\u300a\u4f55\u867e\u4ed4\u300b\u662f\u9648\u5fd7\u9716\u7684\u957f\u7247\u5904\u5973\u4f5c\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u4ed6\u5728\u7231\u9ed8\u751f\u5b66\u9662\u7684\u7855\u58eb\u6bd5\u4e1a\u4f5c\u54c1\u3002\u201c\u867e\u4ed4\u201d\uff0c\u6309\u4ed6\u7684\u89e3\u91ca\uff0c\u662f\u6240\u6709\u6ca1\u6709\u81ea\u6211\u7684\u6210\u5e74\u4eba\u7684\u540d\u5b57\u2014\u2014\u4ed6\u4eec\u7531\u81ea\u5df1\u5728\u5bb6\u65cf\u4e2d\u7684\u89d2\u8272\u6240\u5b9a\u4e49\u3002[\/vc_column_text][mk_padding_divider size=”20″][mk_fancy_title size=”20″ margin_bottom=”0″ font_family=”none”]Director \u5bfc\u6f14[\/mk_fancy_title][vc_column_text el_class=”director-intro-paragraph” css=”.vc_custom_1561612675460{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]\"\"Born and raised in Guangzhou, CHEN Zhilin “Chilam” is a director, <\/span>writer and cinematographer.
