WEI Li (SONG Ningfeng), a product executive at an online food delivery company, navigates a routine filled with relentless overtime and sleepless nights. His wife (ZHANG Xinyi) runs a dance studio, and their teenage daughter (LIU Yiran) is busy preparing for high school entrance exams. Their seemingly stable middle-class life is shattered when a sudden accident triggers a series of chain reactions, unraveling the many facets of contemporary Chinese society.

LIU Taifeng, born in 1984 in Nanjing, China, graduated from Communication University of Zhejiang. After graduation, he has worked in the art department of various film and TV productions. In 2010, he continued his study of film production and avant-garde cinematic arts at School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), and then obtained MFA in Cinematography at the American Film Institute (AFI). With extensive experience in creating short films during his study, he has written five feature scripts since 2018, including his debut feature Another Day of Hope.
