Jessica Kiang is a film critic whose writings have been featured in major industry publications such as Variety and Sight & Sound, as well as the International Programmer for Belfast Film Festival. In this session, she will share insights on what happens after a film is completed—how to get selected for international film festivals and attract media attention, and the programming trends of film festivals in recent years.

Jessica Kiang is a Berlin-based freelance film critic with regular bylines in Variety, Sight & Sound, The Criterion Collection, The New York Times, The LA Times, Film Comment, The Playlist, Rolling Stone, and Mubi. She has served on festival juries from TIFF to IDFA to the BFI London Film Festival and recently became the International Programmer of the Belfast Film Festival.
