Chinese woman Jin Xia (FAN Bingbing) is married to Korean man Lee Seung-hun (KIM Young Ho) to secure her legal status in South Korea. Working at a security checkpoint, her routine life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters a mysterious green-haired girl (LEE Joo Young). Drawn to the enigmatic stranger, Xia is soon swept into the dangerous drug-dealing underworld. One night’s crisis, one lifetime’s echo.
Director
Film director and screenwriter HAN Shuai (b. Shandong, China) holds a Ph.D. in Theater and Cinema Studies from the Central Academy of Drama, China. Her debut feature, Summer Blur (2020), won the Grand Prix at Berlinale’s Generation Kplus competition section, the FIPRESCI Award at Busan’s New Currents section, the Jury Award at Pingyao’s Feimu Awards section, Best Director and Best New Actress at Hong Kong’s Firebird Young Cinema competition. Han is also the author of New Impressions Cinema: The Aesthetics of Lou Ye’s Films.
