Screening

In post-martial law Taiwan of 1994, Chi-wei (Lily LEE), a frustrated art student, joins a student strike against the culture of implicit obedience at college. She soon becomes drawn to Ching (YEH Hsiao-Fei), whose boyfriend Kuang (Roy CHANG) leads the strike. As the protest intensifies, so does the chemistry between Chi-wei and Ching, complicated by Kuang’s romantic interest in Chi-wei. Through this turbulent time, Chi-wei discovers her desires and emotions are as boundless as the freedom they are fighting for, making the protest not just a fight for freedom but also an ordeal of self-awakening.
