After her husband’s passing, Huilin’s life comes to a standstill, but she eventually begins to feel the pulse of new beginnings in the tranquility of her daily routine.
Director
Taiwanese director and cinematographer Ocean CHIN pursued his graduate studies at FAMU (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague) in the Czech Republic. In 2018, he was selected for the 10th Golden Horse Film Academy. In 2022, he was selected for the China Film Association’s Falcon Project Short Film Season, and in 2023, the 8th CFDG (China Film Director’s Guild) Young Director Support Program. He has previously worked as a director of photography on feature films such as Moonlight Warrior and Happiness of Iberia, as well as short films Mosquito Patch and Cease Susurration. A Year Apart is Chin’s first directorial work.
