Director
LAI Yuqing (she/they), originally from Fujian and born in Tianjin, China, pursued studies in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto. With roles as a director, actor, and musician, Lai has contributed to the production of numerous short and feature films, some of them have been recognized at various international film festivals, including BFI Flare and Sundance Ignite finalist. Lai’s unique approach to finding and expressing reality is through innovative and experimental genres. With a diverse background and experience in creation and growth, Lai’s works focus on queer, women, love and real life.
